One of the key elements to getting optimal results from your professional portrait session is simply feeling comfortable in front of the camera. Your professional photographer will play a big role in this. It is essential that you find a photographer that you like and feel at ease with. If you are uneasy or on edge, that will show through clearly in your prints. Being confident in yourself, as well as confident in your photographer can make all the difference in the world! If you are feeling wonderful and happy, that will transcend through your portraits!

A good photographer will know how to make you feel more comfortable and help you warm up to the camera! Selecting a photographer who is skilled and experienced can make you feel more assured during your photography session. Think about how many photographs this photographer has taken and how many people they have worked with! They have a trained eye to catch the perfect image of you! Trust your photographer and have faith in their direction. Do not feel embarrassed or shy and try to allow your personality shine through! Your photographer may help you adjust your position or ask you to slightly tilt your head to get the best angle for each shot. Listen to their directions and relax. They will not steer you wrong.
